There’s a new name making waves out of Kolkata’s tech scene, and their story is worth knowing.
Acceleron Solutions just opened their new office at STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) in Salt Lake Sector V— and the inauguration itself tells you a lot about how seriously everyone is taking this company.
The ribbon was cut by Gainwell Group Chairman Mr. Sunil Chaturvedi and Vice Chairperson Mrs. Meena Chaturvedi, with Mr. Manjit Nayak, Director at STPI under the Ministry of Communication & IT, Government of India, also officially inaugurating the space.

So who is Acceleron?
They’re the IT arm of the Gainwell Group — an 80-year-old industrial conglomerate with deep roots in Eastern India.
Acceleron itself is only three years old in Kolkata. In that time, they’ve built a team of 150+ people and are already delivering IT services to clients in the US, Australia, Singapore, and the Middle East.
The client and prospect list reads like a corporate who’s who — Caterpillar. Exide Industries. BMW Industries. Birla Corporation. CenturyPly. Shyam Steel. Skipper Pipes. Star Cement. M Junction. Resurgent Mining.
These aren’t local pilot projects. These are full-scale SAP implementations, cloud migrations, and custom software builds for some of the biggest names in Indian and global industry.
And now, they’re betting big on AI.
CEO Arindam Hari has made it unambiguous: Agentic AI is now Acceleron’s prime focus.
They began that journey this year and are actively developing innovative products in the Agentic AI space for the years ahead.
Not AI as a feature tucked into existing services — AI as the company’s central direction.
This ambition connects directly to a larger vision articulated by Gainwell Group Chairman Mr. Sunil Chaturvedi at the inauguration.
Acceleron, he said, is not meant to be just a digital or IT solutions company. The vision is a holistic engineering solutions company — one where digital, IT, and AI all come together as parts of something bigger.
That’s a meaningfully different framing from most IT firms you’ll hear about.

What do they actually do today?
Pretty much the full spectrum of enterprise IT — SAP implementation and support, custom software and mobile app development, cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, cybersecurity, IoT solutions for mining and manufacturing, and AI-powered tools that can already speed up legacy code migration by up to 30%.
The inauguration brought the industry’s biggest names to their doorstep. From Resurgent Mining’s CEO Mr. Kameshwar Rao to Gainwell Engineering CEO Mr. Dipankar Banerjee.
Technology partners — SAP, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, and Zoho — visited alongside clients and industry chambers CII and BCC&I.
For a three-year-old company, that’s a remarkable room to fill.
And now, the part that matters most for Kolkata.
Acceleron is planning to grow from 150+ employees today to 350+ over the next two years.
New jobs — for freshers and experienced professionals both — right here in the city.
Kolkata has long trained talent that leaves. This is a company building something that keeps it here.
