New Town is about to host one of its biggest tech days of the year.
Accenture 17th edition of the Business IT Conclave (BITC 2026) will be held at Taj City Centre, besides City Center 2 on June 19, and with a theme that hits different.
Organised by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCC&I), the theme this year is “Beyond Boundaries: Empowering Enterprises through Emerging and Connected Technologies.”
Think of it as a full-day brain trust for Kolkata’s tech future.
State IT Minister Dr. Kalyan Chakraborti is headlining the inaugural session, alongside British Telecom’s India Management Chair Kapil Khaneja and Shri Sumant Sahay, IAS, who heads WEBEL.
The morning kicks off at 10 AM sharp with a big-picture session that sets the tone for everything that follows.
The agenda doesn’t waste a minute.
From AI use-cases in real enterprises and sovereign cloud infrastructure to cybersecurity and the rise of Kolkata as a GCC destination — the day runs wall-to-wall from 10 AM to well past 6 PM.
PwC, Nvidia, CrowdStrike, Nutanix, Hitachi Vantara and Tredence are among the names presenting sessions, and there’s a live product launch by INT somewhere in the afternoon.
There’s even a panel dedicated to Kolkata’s moment.
One session is asking a question the city’s business community has been circling for a while — is Kolkata finally ready to become a serious GCC and digital engineering hub?
